1999 Two members and the road manager of hit Tejano band Intocable are killed in a car crash outside of Monterey, Mexico. The are Jose Angel “Pepe” Farias, 23 the band’s onstage MC; Silvestre Rodriguez Jr., 26, the bassist; and road manager Joe Angel Gonzalez, age unknown. Lead singer/founder Ricky Munoz and other bandmembers are injured and kept overnight at a Monterey hospital.
